Funeral rites for Mrs. Musa Dora Ashby, 86, Waukomis, will be at 2:30 PM Sunday in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bruce Anderson will officiate and burial will be in the Waukomis Cemetery.
Mrs. Ashby was born in Milford, Kansas, and died Thursday in a local rest home after a lingering illness. She had lived in the Waukomis area since 1894 and was a member of the Waukomis Community Club.
On December 28, 1910, she and William Elvin Ashby were married. They lived on a farm near Waukomis until his retirement.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dale Schoonover, Enid; three sons, Chester Ashby, Lahoma, Robert and W. S. Ashby, Waukomis; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Thorp and Mrs. Grace Dulick, both of Enid; six grandchildren; a step – grandchild and six great – grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 7 PM, Monday, and Brown Funeral Home Chapel for William E. Ashby, 84, Waukomis, who died Friday afternoon in a local hospital.
Rev. Jerroll Martens will officiate and burial will be in Waukomis Cemetery.
A native of Jamesport, Missouri, he came to Oklahoma in 1901 settling in the Waukomis – Drummond community. In 1904 he went to Alaska for the gold rush, remaining there four years before returning to a farm near Waukomis. He farmed here untill ill health forced his retirement. He lived in Waukomis the past 14 years.
Survivors include his widow, Musa of the home; three sons, Chester of Lahoma and Robert and W. S., both of Waukomis; a daughter, Mrs. Dale Schoonover, Enid, and six grandchildren.
