Waukomis Cemetery


Tulsa – The funeral for Johnie Belle Ashby, 80, was Friday at Waukomis Methodist Church with Doyle Sharpe officiating. Arrangements were by Christian – Gavlik of Broken Arrow.

She was born October 24, 1919, at Mutual to Johnnie Joe and Mary Belle Jackson Vincent and died Tuesday, February 1, 2000, at Tulsa.

She graduated from Mutual High School and attended Northwestern State College in Alva. She was a lab technician for Dr. Hubert Ashby.

She was a member of Muskogee East Gate Baptist Church and Osteopathic Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by two daughters, Gwen Burnett of Broken arrow and Karen Hof of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren; and seven great – grandchildren.
