Elvin Ashby passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016. He was 75 years old. He grew up on a farm in Lahoma. He lived there with his parents and two younger brothers, Ron and Paul Ashby, until he married Dianna Allen in 1964.

He worked as an accountant at Conoco for over 20 years before he retired in 1987. He loved to buy and sell antiques. He and his two brothers, along with their wives, established Ashby's Antique Mall in Blackwell 27 years ago. He was a hard worker and was a dedicated father and husband.

He is survived by his wife, Dianna Ashby, of Blackwell; and his daughters, Sonia Sisco and husband, Dale; and Tonia White and her husband, Tim, both of Owasso. Also their grandchildren, Samantha Sisco, Bryan Sisco, Derek Sisco, Candance Sisco, Tyler White, Kylie White, and Christopher Wade.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Pauline Ashby, of Enid.

The funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Trout Funeral Home, Blackwell. He will be laid to rest in Waukomis.

Dianna Ashby, age 70, formerly of Blackwell, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017. Dianna was born to Delbert and Ethel Allen in Enid on February 3, 1947. She grew up in Lahoma and lived there with her parents and sister Donna until she married Elvin Ashby in 1964.

She loved to buy and sell antiques. So 27 years ago, Dianna, Elvin and two brothers, along with their wives, established Ashby’s Antique Mall in Blackwell. She was a hard worker and was a dedicated wife and mother.

Survivors include her daughters, Sonia Sisco and husband Dale and Tonia White and her husband Tim, both of Owasso; her sister Donna Jantz, as well as her grandchildren, Samantha Sisco, Bryan Sisco, Derek Sisco, Cadance Sisco, Tyler White, Kylie White and Christopher Wade.

She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband Elvin.

A memorial ceremony to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Trout Funeral Home of Blackwell on Friday, August 11, 2017 with Pastor Chris Wald officiating. Following the ceremony, she will be laid to rest privately next to her husband at the Waukomis Cemetery.
