Funeral services for Gilbert Anderson, 89, of Waukomis will be 2 PM Monday in the Waukomis Christian Church with Rev. Harold Honnold officiating. Interment will be in the Waukomis Cemetery under the direction of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home. Gilbert was born August 30, 1908 on the family homestead in Waukomis, the son of Fredrick and Fannie Kerr Anderson and died Saturday, January 10, 1998 at Integris Bass Hospital.
He graduated from Waukomis high school and attended Oklahoma University on a football scholarship. He later attended Phillips University. He married Helen Loudenslager May 29, 1931 and the couple farmed in Waukomis. Gilbert was a charter member of the Methodist Church and later joined the Christian Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and and was on the school and Cemetery boards.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister and is survived by his wife of the home; a son, Jack Anderson, and wife Nancy, Waukomis; a daughter, Barbara Liebhart, Tulsa, six grandchildren: James R Liebhart II, Windsor, England, John A. Liebhart, Springfield, Missouri, Julie McDonell, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Allison K. Liebhart, Stillwater, Oklahoma, Ron Anderson, Enid, and Vicki Abernathy, Enid; 12 great grandchildren; two sisters, Amanda Stutz, Waukomis, and Myrtle Shold, Alamo, Texas.
Memorials may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation.

Helen Josephine Anderson, a wonderful mother, grandmother and great – grandmother died Wednesday, February 18, 1998. Helen was born August 7, 1911 in Paxton, South Dakota, the daughter of Raymond and Eva Davis Loudenslager. Helen married Gilbert R. Anderson on May 29, 1931. The couple lived and farmed in Waukomis and would have been married 67 years this May. Their first grandson, Jim, shared his birthday with their anniversary.
Helen was active in the community for many years and was a member of the Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert, who died on January 10, 1998. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Liebhart, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Jack Anderson of Waukomis, Oklahoma. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren are Jim and Cheryl Liebhart, Sam, Molly and Tommy Liebhart of Windsor, England; Julie H. Liebhart – McDonell, Ashley, Josh, Hannah Jo, Victoria and Blake of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Allison Kay Liebhart of Stillwater; John and Wendi Liebhart of Springfield, Missouri; Vickie and Dick Abernathy, Jacqueline and Jamie of Enid, Oklahoma; Ron and Mary Anderson, Jeremy and Jonathan of Enid, Oklahoma.
Helen grew up in a family of 12 children. She is survived by two sisters and a sister – in – law, Margie Olearain of Buhl, Idaho; Lois Jacobson of Gloucester, Virginia and Norma Loudenslager, Sacramento, California. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack, Edward, Jim and Frank Loudenslager, sisters, Stella Anderson, Jo Phyllis Maderita, Alice Fruit, Nellie Boyer and Aura Rose.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 PM in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be held Monday in the Waukomis Cemetery at 11 AM.
