Waukomis Cemetery


Waukomis – The funeral for Leonard R. Adams, 82, will be 10 AM Thursday in Waukomis First Baptist Church. The Rev. Danny Marney will officiate. Burial will be in Waukomis Cemetery. Arrangements are by Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home.

He was born February 21, 1920, in Tracy, California, to James Randolph and Theodocia White Adams and died Sunday, August 11, 2002, at his home.

He graduated from high school in Sonora, California, and had held various jobs welding in shipyards at Stockton, California. On October 31, 1993, he married Bertha Williams in Enid.

He was an active member of Waukomis First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Bertha of the home; ten children, Nicki Smith of Oklahoma City, Lynda Schrank of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Joe Casey of Cloudy, Jan O'Dell, Sherryl Ann Adams, both of Oklahoma City, Dallas Griggs of Enid, Joseph Adams of Nowata, Ruby Tolle of Waukomis, Lee Adams of Del City and David Adams of Kingfisher; several grandchildren and great – grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Busbee Adams, and one son.
