Mrs. Ella Huffer, 85 of 2429 West Maine, died at noon today in a local hospital after a lingering illness. A native of Shelby Co. IL, Mrs Huffer came to Oklahoma in 1902 settling at Aline. The family moved to Enid in 1927 and had resided here since. She was a member of the Davis Park Christian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Charles Burnett (Una Marie), Enid, one son J. Paul Huffer, Cherokee: two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Jessie Harmon, Alhambra, Calif. Funeral services are pending at the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. Buriel was made in Sunnyside Cemetery.

Sarah Ellen "Ella" Lindley was the daughter of William and Mary Elizabeth MIDDLETON LINDLEY, she married James HUFFER, Aug. 26, 1897 in Shelby Co. IL.

J. W. HUFFER DIES
J. D. Huffer, aged 63 years, 11 months and 22 days, died at this home southeast of Lahoma, Monday at 2:30 a.m. following an illness of several weeks duration. His illness was not considered to be serious until gangrene set in as a result of abcessed teeth which had caused the jawbone to die making an operation necessary.
Mr. Huffer had lived in the community for many years and was well known.
The wife, one daughter, Una, a son, Paul, and another son who lived in Arkansas survive him. One daughter, Grace preceded him in death in 1922.
Funeral services were held at the Christian Church at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Internment was in Sunnyside Cemetery.
