A funeral service for Linda Pattrick, 60, of Bryan, Texas formerly of Covington, will be Friday, February 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in St. John’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Chris Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, Enid.
Linda was born on August 1, 1952 in Enid, Oklahoma to Maurice Wayne and Joy Evelyn (Moff) Schweer and died on January 26, 2013 in Bryan, Texas.
Linda was baptized on September 7, 1952 and confirmed on May 15, 1966, both at St. John’s Lutheran Church. She grew up in Covington and was a forward on Covington-Douglas State Champion Basketball team in 1968. Linda attended Oklahoma State University for two years and graduated from Oklahoma Panhandle State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. On July 30, 1972, she married Dwight Pattrick in St. John’s Lutheran Church. She taught high school math for 31 years in Oklahoma and Texas.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Pattrick and her father, Maurice Schweer.
Linda is survived by her husband, Dwight of the home; children, Ty & Rebecca Pattrick of Wylie, Texas, Dee & Mark Kirby of Spring, Texas; three grandchildren, Presley and Allie Pattrick, and Cheyenne Kirby; her mother, Joy Schweer of Covington; mother in law Lovella Pattrick of Covington. Brother, Mark & Bambi Schweer of Franklin, TN; sister, Gayla Schweer of Norman; and sister in law Sunshine Rink of Perry, other relatives and friends.
