Rose Hill Cemetery


Funeral service for Dorothy Stahmer is 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. The. Rev. Susan Southhall officiating. A private family burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Carrier, Okla.

Dorothy Ann Stahmer was born Oct. 8, 1931, on the family farm near Carrier and died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015. Her parents were Ernest and Lydia Stahmer.

She attended Oklahoma School for the Deaf in Sulphur, Okla., graduating in 1953.

Dorothy was a linotypist for the Cherokee Messenger and Republican Newspaper.

She retired after about 20 years because of failing health and moved back to the farm until 2000. She then moved to Sterlinghouse Assisted Living, where she resided the rest of her life.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves behind her special cousins, Jimmy and Helen Geminden; special friends, Billy and Marlene Bloss; other cousins and her many friends.

Memorials may be made to OMRF, Multiple Sclerosis division.
