Monday Near Enid
Mrs. J. F. Payne , aged 77, died Monday afternoon at her home eight miles northwest of Enid. She had been an invalid for about eight years.
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at Carrier and internment was made in the cemetery at that place.
She is survived by her husband, three sons, Charles , residing northwest of Enid ; James Payne and George Payne, of Hennessey; a daughter, Mrs. A. H. O'Brate, of Kremlin , and seventeen grandchildren and one great grandchild.

FATHER OF JAMES
PAYNE DIES AT ENID
J. F. Payne , father of James Payne pf Hennessey , died at an Enid hospital last Friday after a brief illness at the age of 84. He was a pioneer of the Cherokee Strip, homesteading a farm northwest of Enid.
Besides his son , James, he is survived by two other sons and one daughter, Charles of Enid; George Payne, of Carrier, and Mrs. Sadie O'Brate , of Ringwood.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Carrier and interment made in the Carrier Cemetery.
