Rose Hill Cemetery


Funeral for Danny Bert Goodpasture, age 63, of Enid will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Randy Mitchell will officiate.

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Carrier, OK, under direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends 5:30-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Danny was born June 19, 1950, in Wynnewood, OK, to Bert and Delcine Mayberry Goodpasture and passed away October 31, 2013, at his home.

He graduated from Enid High School and studied diesel mechanics at Okmulgee Tech.

He married Dorothy Bruner August 3, 1971, in Enid.

Danny proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict and was honorably discharged.

He returned to Enid in 1972 and started working at his father’s business, Bert’s Service Company.

His entire career was in the oil and gas business. He enjoyed working as a field engineer for D&J Oil Company.

Danny was a hot rod enthusiast, as well as a member of S.P.A.D.S., RC Flying Club. He enjoyed being a pilot and a melon gardener.

Danny is survived by his wife, Dot, of the home; son Jason and wife Bonita Goodpasture and daughter Steffanie Goodpasture, all of Enid; four grandchildren, Summerlyn, Dallas, Gabriel and Layla; his mother, Delcine Goodpasture of Oklahoma City; sisters, Dianna McFarland, Donna Juul and Terri Roberts; a brother, Tim Goodpasture; and numerous other family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bert Goodpasture.

Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation — cancer division — with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Condolences may be made at www.ladusauevans.com. The service may be viewed online for those unable to attend.
