Ernest I. Boyington, 56, of 1012 N. Jefferson, died early Tuesday in a local Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born Oct. 15, 1915 in Carrier and attended Carrier schools. He married Bertha Field on July 16, 1935 in the First Baptist Church in Enid. They lived in Csrrier until moving to Enid in 1942. He worked for W. B. Johnston Grain Co. fro a number of years and retired as elevator superintendent in 1967 due to ill health.
He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
An Infant son and a brother preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife Bertha of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Gene, Patricia, Richardson, of Enid; Mrs. Larry ,Beverly, Guffey, Perryton, Tx; Mrs. Melvin , Cindy, Whitley of Enid; one son, Erlie Boyington of Enid; Seven grandchildren; and a half sister, Gladys Hatfield, of Enid.
Funeral rites will be at 11 pm Friday in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hollis R, Morris, pastor of the New Hope Baptist Church officiating and burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
