May 30, 1932 - September 29, 2024
A Celebration of Life service for Dennis Mac Young age 92 of Enid will be 10:00 am Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Bill Smith and Rev. Kelly Cronkhite officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Carrier, OK under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Dennis was born May 30, 1932 in Goltry, OK to Clarence and Lena (Clark) Young and passed away in the Claremore Veterans Center, Claremore, OK on September 29, 2024. He attended and graduated from Carrier High School in 1950. He joined the Army-National Guard on July 21, 1951 during the Korean War and was honorably discharged on June 6, 1952. He married Charlene Bickford on January 14, 1950 in Enid and she passed away March 15, 2008. Dennis worked for Gold Spot Dairy delivering milk door to door with his last job being a pumper in the oil fields for Continental Resources. He served on the Rose Hill Cemetery Board for several years. Dennis attended the Cowboy Church where he met and married Yvonne Russell Hines on August 14, 2008.
Dennis enjoyed his hunting, fishing, and using his woodworking talents to create many things for family and friends.
Dennis is survived by his wife Yvonne of the home, children; son, Michael Neal and wife Sally, Tulsa; son, Jay Dennis and wife Carolyn, Enid; daughter, Jan Denise and husband, Dale Dunsworth, Sand Springs, OK; Grandsons, Christopher Neal and wife Philisha Young, Chad Michael and wife Amber Young, Charles Dennis and wife Stephanie Young, Jeremy Dale Dunsworth, and Benjamin Clark Dunsworth, great grandchildren, Mersades, Christopher, Sebastian, Imogen, LilyAnn, great-great grandsons Bruce and Cooper and sister Kay Ann Smith. Yvonne's daughter Jennifer and husband Brad, granddaughter Megan, and several other family members.
Dennis was preceded in death by brothers; Melvin Young and Stanley Young, son Terry Young, granddaughter Tiffany Young and great grandson Matthew Young.
Memorials may be made to Claremore Veterans Center with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory serving as custodians of the funds.
