ENID, Okla. — Funeral service for Clarence “Buddy” Ward will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Paradise Cemetery, near Breckinridge, Okla.
Buddy was born May 23, 1954, in Enid, Okla., to Willis and Frances (Plummer) Ward and died Tuesday, March 4, 2014, in Enid.
He attended local schools and graduated in 1971.
He served in the United States Navy, where he worked as a gunner’s mate on various ships. After 22 years of service, Buddy retired.
He returned to Enid, where he was a truck driver working for Brent’s Tank Trucks Inc. of Ames, Okla.
Buddy was a member of American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, collecting guns, shooting darts and pool.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Buddy is survived by seven sisters, Lottie Williams, Viola Gay, Toni Miskell and Kathy Hall, all of Enid, Shila Hoffman and Polly Ward, both of Crowley, Texas, and Alice Evers of Enid; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His special fur friend “Little Bit” will especially miss him.
