The Enid Events Enid, Garfield Co., OK December 26, 1935 Page 3, section A, column 4 Breckinridge Obituary Wm. Jenkins was born in Kentucky, December 2, 1866. He was united in holy wedlock to Miss Sadie Pratt, October 14, 1866 (1896). To this union were born eight children, two daughters and six sons. They lived in this community forty-one years. He died December 18, 1935, after a lingering illness. He leaves the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Mary Robison of Salt Fork, and Mrs. Ruth Booze of Woodward; six sons, Alva Jenkins of Rogers, Ark.; Willis, Charlie and Arthur of Enid; and George and Forest of the late home; two sisters, Mrs. Chrissie Summerville of Lamont; and Mrs. Addie Evans of Winfield, Kan.; besides a host of friends. He united with the Methodist Episcopal church at Bower Chapel at the age of 16. He departed this life at the age of 69 years, 16 days. Interment was made in the Breckinridge cemetery. The services were held at the Methodist church here at 2 o'clock. Rev. Fickinger was in charge of the services.
