Graveside service celebrating the life of Stephen Guentert, 60, of Enid, will be held at 10 a.m. today, May 2, 2017, at Paradise Cemetery with the Rev. E. Rollins officiating. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born Feb. 25, 1957, to Edwin and Cleona Perkins Guentert in Tulsa and passed from this life on April 28, 2017, in Enid. He was raised from a very early age by his staff family at Enid State School and later N.O.R.C.E. In 2007, he joined a group home, where he lived until his passing. He enjoyed community events, music, television programs and friends. His best friend and housemate was Lucas Clayton.

He is survived by his longtime Supportive Community Lifestyles caregiving team, guardian Kelli McLerran and a host of loving friends.

He was preceded in death by guardian Judy McMahan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Creative Supports Horse Ranch with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
