The funeral for John R. Dennis, 67, of Garber, will be 3 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Garber. Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery, Breckinridge. Arrangements are by Dugger Funeral Home, Garber.
He was born Dec. 13, 1937, in Cushing to David and Alma Clemons Dennis and died Monday, Nov. 7, 2005, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.
He married Joye Stalnaker in May 1965, in Hobbs, N.M.
He was a veteran of the Air Force. He was a Garber police officer for 20 years and a member of First Baptist Church, Garber.
Surviving are his wife, Joye of the home; three sons, Troy Dennis of Garber, John Ralph Dennis Jr. of Jacktown and J.D. Dennis of Enid; two daughters, Debbie Steffen and Dana Dennis, both of Garber; one brother, Leon Dennis of Pryor; one sister, Murna Dennis of Tulsa; 19 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, and one sister.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Jesus House.
