Mae Mitchell
October 3, 1896 ~ June 2, 1963


Mae Mitchell, 66. was born October 3, 1896 to M. E. & R. A. [Richard Aley] Trimble Mitchell in Bell County, Texas.

According to the 1920 Census in Bryan County, Oklahoma, Mae Mitchell was living with her widowed mother, Rebecca-Richard Aley, her widowed brother, EC-Elmer Cleveland Mitchell, and that brother's four children. The eldest of these four was 10 year old Raymond Thurman Mitchell Sr, my father.

Mae never married.

Her mother died in Achille, Bryan County, OK on March 30, 1929.

When Mae was 33 years old she was admitted to the Enid State School, Enid, OK on June 20, 1929 which was almost three months after her mother died.

Mae lived at the Enid State school for 34 years, died there on June 2, 1963 when she was 66 years old and was buried in the Enid State School Cemetery on June 4, 1963.

According to the death certificate with informant being the Enid State School, cause of death was Acute Coronary Occlusion and significant condition contributing to her death was Mental Retardation.
