The funeral services for Christine Upchurch, 75 year old Enid resident will be Saturday, May 22, 2004 at 2 PM in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Tom Pullin will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was born in Cleveland, Mississippi on October 7, 1928 to Clifton Wright and Annie Pearl (Brasswood) Wright and died Wednesday, May 19, 2004 in St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.
On September 24, 1948 she married Jessie L. Upchurch in Enid where the couple made their home. She worked at the Enid State School as a supervisor for 25 years, retiring in 1987. She enjoyed sewing and having her family around her.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Butler) Gray and husband Wade Gray, of Holdenville, Oklahoma and Janice Milligan and husband Steve, of Enid; five grandchildren, Angi Adams, Chris Harris and Jeff Harris all of Enid, and Shellie Rogers of Holdenville, Oklahoma and Jerry Sanders of McAlester, Oklahoma; nine great – grandchildren; one brother, Harry Wright, of Alabama, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant son, Dennis Paul; two brothers and four sisters; and one grandson, Frank Adams.
