Ann was born Aug. 30, 1933, in McAlester, Okla., the daughter of Burt and Cora Lee Harris Steele, and passed away peacefully Dec. 3, 2014, at her residence.
She was raised in McAlester, later moving to Lebanon, Mo.
Ann married Claude Unruh in Lebanon Sept. 28, 1950.
They moved to Las Vegas, Nev., in 1985, and boy did she love the slots.
They owned a housekeeping business, and she would work very hard cleaning homes of people she cared for.
Ann and Claude moved to Enid in March 2001, where they were members of First Baptist Church.
Ann was always singing and dancing. She loved life, especially when her grandchildren were around.
She was the beautiful, funny Aunt, so the cousins would say.
Survivors include Ann’s husband, Claude of the residence; son, Steven (Patti) Unruh of Springdale, Ark.; daughters, Sherry (Ancil) Davis of Edmond, Kathi (Earl) Harvey of Alva, Carla (Don) Priest of Elk City, and Becky (Steve) Hutson of Enid; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Ann was preceded in passing by her parents, six brothers and one sister. Ann will be remembered and loved as a beautiful wife, mother and grandmother.
