ENID, Okla. — Graveside service for Phyllis Elaine Thornburg, 59, of Enid, Okla., will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at the Mausoleum in Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Lester Lowry officiating. Visitation with the family is 5:30-7 p.m. today, April 15, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Phyllis was born Oct. 22, 1954, in Hominy, Okla., to Ilo Wayne and Charlene (Buchanan) Watkins and passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014, in Enid.

Phyllis grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High.

She worked as a nurse aide and was working at Furrs Cafeteria when she had to retire due to health issues.

On Oct. 22, 1989, she married Leroy Thornburg in Fort Smith, Ark. They lived in Enid, Fort Smith and returned to Enid in 1990s. Phyllis was a member of Evangel Assembly of God Church.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Leroy of the home; three children, Rusty Thornburg, Michael Dimercurio and Lance Thornburg; parents, Wayne and Charlene Watkins; brother, Charles Watkins; and sister, Sue Watkins, all of Enid.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Margaret Buchanan, Rev. Ilo and Cleo Watkins, and brother, Mike Watkins.

Memorials may be made to Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
