Arthur T. Teske, 87, died early Sunday in a local hospital following an extended illness. His funeral will be at 10 AM Wednesday in the Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Glen C. Kollmeyer officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

Teske was born November 27, 1887, near Janesville, Minnesota. He came to Oklahoma with his parents when a small child, settling near Carrier. He was reared there and attended rural school, later farming in the area. He married Ella Hoetzel in Glenella Lutheran Church. They moved to Enid in 1922 where he was locally employed. At the time of his retirement, he was employed by the Enid public school system. He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one son, Frank Teske, Carrier; two daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Opal) Broadstone, Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Alvin (Maxine) Wichert, Enid; 10 grandchildren; 11 great – grandchildren; one brother, Reinholdt Teske, Sparta, Wisconsin, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella, in 1956, two sons, one sister and two brothers.
