ENID — Funeral services for Brenda Kay Streck, 71, of Enid, will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Hillsdale Bible Church with Rev. Tom Pullin and Rev. Gordon Epps officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson - Burris Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends will be Monday evening from 5:30 to 7 at the funeral home.
Brenda was born on Sept. 25, 1939, to Robert Challis and Kathryn Lucille (Covert) Hartshorne in Enid, and died on Saturday, May 28, 2011, in Enid.
Brenda grew up in Enid, and graduated from Enid High School in 1957, and then attended Enid Business College. On May 20, 1976, she married Jerry L. Streck in Marshall, and they made their home in Enid. Brenda was employed as a secretary at George E. Failing Company before becoming a homemaker. She was a member of Hillsdale Bible Church. Brenda loved the Lord and has gone ahead to prepare.
She is survived by her husband Jerry of the home; four children Mike (Debbie) Read of Enid, Mark (Kim) Read of Dallas, Micki (Danny) Collums, and Molly (David) Epps all of Enid; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one brother Robert Clyde Hartshorne of Lahoma; two sisters Beverly Jo Hart of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and Linda Marie Bowen of Enid.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents.
