A Celebration of Life service for Carolyn J. States, age 78, of Houston, TX formerly of Enid, will be 10:00 am Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Ladusua-Evans Chapel with Rev. Jirair Tashjian officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Carolyn was born February 28, 1940 in Enid, OK to LeRoy and Darlene McCabe Bittle and passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 in Kindred N. W. Hospital in Houston, TX. She grew up in the Kremlin community and graduated from Kremlin High School in 1958. Carolyn married Alvia W. “Bill” States in 1959 and he passed away January 17, 2000. They lived in the Ft. Worth area for several years. In 2016, she moved to Houston to be close to her daughter.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Debra Halseth and husband Steve of Cypress, TX, two sons, Darren States and wife Rhonda of Odessa, TX and Danny States and Vicky States of Allen, TX, four grandchildren; Lindsay, Kyle, Will, and Beau, two sisters; Sis Estill and husband Bill and Glenda Babb both of Enid, three brothers, Ron Bittle and wife Liz of Alva, Dave Bittle and wife Janet of Kremlin, and Bruce Bittle of California, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers George, Dale, and Lauren Bittle.
