Anne Margaret Burdick Stanley, 95 year-old Enid resident, was born June 17, 1922 in Independence, Kansas to Clarence and Honor (Himelic) Jones and passed away September 24, 2017 in Enid.
After graduating from Enid High School, she met Jesse Lee Burdick, Jr. They married July 17, 1939. Anne was a hardworking Mother who took care of her family by working at Richills for over 21 years. She then worked various other places, including Advance Foods even after retirement.
On February 18, 2000, Anne married Edward Stanley. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and trying out new recipes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ivan Burdick; an infant child and both husbands.
Anne is survived by ten children, Russell Burdick; Dorothy Staggs and husband, Art; David Burdick and wife, Judy; Carol Guthrie and husband, Carl; Ronnie King and wife, Chris; Roberta Hughes and husband, Bill; Gary Burdick and wife, Connie; Frank Burdick and wife, Pat; Sharon Christy and husband, Homer ; Clinton Burdick; daughter-in-law, Donna Burdick; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as numerous extended family. Also, her beloved dog, Peanut survives her.
Funeral services for Anne will be 10:00am Friday, September 29, 2017 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Gary Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Memorial donations can be made to Enid SPCA with the funeral home acting as custodian of the fund.
