A graveside service for Vera Elizabeth Stacy, 90, of Ardmore, formerly of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid. The Rev. Robert D. Lee will officiate. Arrangements are by Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home, Ardmore.

She was born Feb. 5, 1917, in Hillsdale to John J. and Alice Marie Sweger Kruse and died Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, in Ardmore. She married Gilbert Leroy Stacy Feb. 20, 1935, in El Reno. He died Jan. 6, 2007. She served on the board of directors for YWCA, was president of Y Dames, director of retired citizens, PTA member, president of Will Rogers School and held a position on the school board and other offices. She was a member of Orthodox Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Surviving are four daughters, Shirley Trochta of Oklahoma City, Carol Shotwell of Denton, Texas, Perilea Akers of Ardmore and Judith Dodson of Joplin, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Gilbert, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
