Funeral service for Lucille "Kay" Snodgrass, formerly of Tulsa, will be 10 a.m. Thusday, July 23, 2009, at Zion Lutheran Church, Fairmont, with Pastor Tim Dorsch officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid. Visitation will be held at the funeral home until 9 a.m. Thursday morning. The casket will be closed at the church. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Kay was born to Herman and Clara (Brandt) Miller on Nov. 14, 1918, on the family farm in Douglas, Okla. She passed away Sunday, July 19, 2009, at age 90 after a lengthy illness.
She was especially proud of working in a Prisoner of War Camp during World War II, where she worked in the office. Kay was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church and was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Tulsa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; and four brothers, Lee Roy Miller, Robert "Bob" Miller, AC Miller and Darrell Miller.
Kay is survived by her daughter, Virginia Kelliher and husband Mike; granddaughter, Sarah Dawes and husband Jeff; great-grandchildren, Rachelle and Vincent Dawes; three brothers, Kenneth Miller, Ron Miller and Dick Miller; one sister, Marylou Boepple; and cousin, Iola Grau, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Zion Lutheran Church, OMRF, Alzheimers division or Ross Hospice.
