July 3, 1950 - May 23, 2020

A Celebration of Life Service Larry Jay Smith, 69, of Enid, will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with Rev. Kenneth Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will be having a visitation Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at the funeral home from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Larry was the son of M.D. and Gloria Jean (Jantz) Smith. He was born on July 3, 1950. He passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on May 23, 2020. Larry graduated in 1968 from the last graduating class of Goltry High School. Larry married Karen Luckett. To this union four boys were born. Larry entered the United States Air Force. After the service, he worked as a Day One UPS driver. Then, Larry moved on to being a life-time realtor. Larry was very passionate about his profession and in turn his clients became loyal customers. Lifelong friendships evolved between him and his customers and co-workers.

In 1998, Larry married Joy Lohmann Gosney, and he was blessed to have a daughter join his family. Larry and Joy loved raising their five children together. They enjoyed following them in all their activities. His grandchildren were very special to him. Larry was a great Poppy. He loved being with them and watching them in their sporting events. Larry also enjoyed playing golf and going to OSU ballgames.

Larry is survived by the love of his life, Joy; sons, Derek Smith and wife Camrin and their children Daltan and Dietrich of Owasso, Drake Smith and wife Liz and their son Slade of Enid, Dylan and wife Stacie and their children Macyn and Maddox of Owasso, Drew and wife Chelsea and their children Emery, Sutton and Sawyer, Oklahoma City; and daughter, Miranda Gosney DeCook and husband Brian and their son Lawson, Enid; sister, Diana Smith, Tulsa.

Memorials may be made to Woodring Wall of Honor or Hospice Circle of Love, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
