The funeral service for Gloria J. Smith, 81, of Enid will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Garvie Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Gloria was born July 21, 1925, in Goltry, Okla. to Henry H. and Carrie (Buller) Jantz, and died March 16, 2007, in Enid.
She graduated from Carrier High School in 1943, as a Salutorian. She married Milford Smith October 30, 1949. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Bass Memorial Hospital from 1969 to 1984. She was a member of Goltry Mennonite Church.
She is survived by her son, Larry Smith and his wife, Joy; a daughter, Diana Smith; five grandchildren, Derek Smith and his companion Angela, her daughters, Christina and Alexa; and Drake Smith and his wife Liz; Dylan Smith, Drew Smith and Miranda Gosney; one great-grandson, Daltan Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and four brothers.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Enid with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds.
