ENID, Okla. — Graveside service for Norma Jane Shaw, 86-year-old Enid, Okla., resident, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014, in Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor Vernon Lee officiating. Service is under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Norma was born Aug. 25, 1927, to Simon and Lizzie (Becker) Unruh in Ringwood, Okla., and died Saturday, April 26, 2014, in Enid.
After graduating in 1945, from OBA in Meno, Okla., Norma met Robert Shaw while they both worked at S.H. Kress Co. They married on her birthday, Aug. 25, 1950. Robert preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 2004.
Norma worked for Woolworths for over 23 years. She enjoyed gardening and embroidery.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; and sister, Myrtle Becker.
Norma is survived by daughter, Pamela Shaw; sons, Wendell Shaw and wife Pat, Jeffrey Shaw and wife Gayla and John Shaw and wife Angie; four grandchildren, Christy, Simon, Jamie and Joshua; as well as three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Gracie and Shelby.
Memorials can be made through the funeral home to the charity of donor’s choice.
