The funeral service for Bryan Shank, 43, Owasso, formerly of Pond Creek, is 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Bryan was born on June 20, 1973, in Kiowa, Kan., to Judy Kay Martin and Randall Joe Goodwin and later adopted by Richard Alan Shank.
Bryan passed away on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016, in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
Bryan attended grade school in Cherokee and Enid, and graduated from high school at Pond-Creek Hunter. He attended college at NWOSU and Central State University.
Bryan began his career working for Trans-Tel Communication, Inc., in February 2000 as Director of Engineering, and then President. Bryan worked for Techsico and Envistacom. He worked in Iraq at the Iraqi air force base, doing telecommunications from January 2016-July 2016.
Bryan's first passion was his kids and family, his mom and April. He loved his music and had 5 published CD's on iTunes. Bryan was a gardener, a chef and a computer genius.
He had a candle company and loved candles. His favorite day was "OU" anything day. Bryan loved hanging out with all of his friends and will be missed by many. He was looking forward to coming home and putting his roots down in Owasso.
Bryan is survived by daughter, Madelyn Jo Shank, of Oklahoma City; son, Easton David Shank, of Norman; mother, Judy K. Martin, of Enid; maternal grandmother, Mary Lou Martin, of Cherokee; fiancé, April LaDawn Sowles, of Owasso; aunts, uncles, cousins and thousands of friends.
Bryan is preceded in death by his father; grandfather, Joseph Dean Martin; and uncle, Marty Joe Martin
