Celebration of life services for Phillip Andrew Shafford, 88, Enid, will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors.

Phillip was born on January 8, 1929 in Liberal, Kansas, the son of Albert Dwight and Alpha Opal McCracken Shafford, and passed away peacefully on September 26, 2017 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Enid. Phillip proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from February of 1946 until his honorable discharge in December of 1948. He was an ammunition supply tech. Phillip worked for the Enid Fire Department from January of 1952, retiring as Lieutenant in March of 1974.

He married Mary Busch in Enid on April 10, 1955. She preceded him in passing on November 27, 2012.

Survivors include his son, Tim Shafford of Enid; daughters, Janet Jewell of Oklahoma City and Diana Long of Bakersfield, California; brother, Donnie Shafford of Lago Vista, Texas.

In addition to his wife, Phillip was preceded in passing by his parents, brothers, Keith Shafford and AD Shafford, and sister, Dolly Clodfelter.

Celebration of Life services for Mary Shafford will be Sunday December 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor Orvil Milam, officiating.

Mary Christine Shafford, 82, Enid, was born on July 11, 1930 in Ripley, Oklahoma, the daughter of Frank and Jennie Barth Busch, and passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in Enid. She was raised on the family homestead between Ripley and Perkins, graduating from Ripley High School with the class of 1948. Mary attended Enid Business College briefly before starting her career as a telephone operator for AT&T. She retired on December 31, 1983 putting in 30 1/2 years with AT &T. Mary married Phillip Andrew Shafford in Enid on April 10, 1955. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church as well as the Pioneers.

Surviving Mary are her husband, Phillip of the residence; son, Tim Shafford of Enid; daughters, Janet Jewell of Oklahoma City and Diana Long of Bakersfield, California; five grandchildren; brother, Jack Busch of Wichita, Kansas and sister, Ruth McIntosh of Eureka, Kansas.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
