May 08, 1931 - February 24, 2018

Mass of Christian Burial for Gloria “Doddie” Semrad, 86, will be Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Irwin as celebrant. Burial will follow in Bison Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. Recitation of the Rosary will be Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Tony Crispo presiding.

Doddie was born on May 8, 1931 in Enid to Fred and Adda Ekart McCreary and died on February 24, 2018 in Enid.

She grew up in the Douglas Oklahoma area. On October 5, 1949, Gloria married Edward Semrad in St. Camilius Catholic Church in Marshall, Oklahoma. They lived in Parsons, Kansas and later moved to Enid, where they made their home. Doddie owned and operated Mode-O-Day and later Fashion Crossroads from 1975 to 1986. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Ed on July 28, 2009; her father, Fred; her mother and step-father, Adda and Glen Reed; sisters, Ellen and Fern; brothers, Ira, Charles, and Arrel.

Doddie is survived by her four sons and their wives, Edward Lee and Sharon of Enid, Lynn “Bud” of Waukomis, Larry and Debbie of Enid, and Gary and Sandy of Broken Arrow; nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and seven great, great grandchildren; three brothers, Dean (Sandra), Freddie, Glen (Laura) McCreary; two sisters, Hazel (Bill) Reed and Joyce (Sherrill) Cowen; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Our Daily Bread.
