Funeral Services For Georgia M. Schwindaman, 85, Norman, will be Wednesday, June 15,2011 at 10:00 a.m. in Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Leland Streck officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Georgia was born in Verden, Oklahoma on May 23, 1926 to Georgie and Lois Dewey and died in Norman, Oklahoma on June, 12, 2011.
Georgia did hair before she started her family, then when her daughter Alana was born she became a full-time homemaker for 19 years. After Alana was grown she RAN to First National Bank of Des Plaines, IL to seek employment. She worked there for 33 years.
She liked to sew, and at one time liked to grow flowers. When her husband Bill took ill, she cared for him until he passed. She married Bill on September 26, 1946; they were married nearly 50 years before he passed away in August of 1996.
She is survived by daughter, Alana and husband Henry Schaffler, Jr. of Norman, Okla.; Grandchildren: Jay & wife Billie Schaffler and sons Kyle, Peanut & Kaleb; Melanie & husband Thomas Trimble and children, Patrick Trimble, Emily Mitchell & husband Jason and daughter Jaylee; Dylan Trimble; Kassidy Trimble and William Schaffler & wife Shannon and son Quin; nieces: Cindy McCamey and Elaine Blevins; nephews: Richard, Roger and David Dewey.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband, William "Bill" Schwindaman; brother, William Dewey and sister, Lucile Hutton.
