Anita R. Schuermann, age 81, funeral service will be 10 a.m. today at United Methodist Church, Pond Creek, with Rev. Sonia Tobey with interment following in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.
Anita graduated from Enid High School in 1945. She married L.L. Roy Schuermann Jan. 18, 1959, at Enid United Methodist Church. She was employed by Newman’s in downtown Enid for many years. She was a seamstress, cook, San Sousi Club member. She loved music and was an excellent homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents B.L. and Anna Stewart, one sister Aileen Kaiser and uncle Bill Splain and aunt Maude Splain.
She is survived by her husband, L.L. Roy Schuermann, Pond Creek; one son, Van Schuermann and wife Natalie Schuermann; three grandchildren, Andrea Schuermann of Oklahoma City, Dana Poslick and husband Clay Poslick of Enid and Brent Schuermann of Enid.
Memorials may be made to United Methodist Church, Pond Creek, or Hospice Circle of Love or charity of donor’s choice.
