Willa Jean Schneider (Ake) 78, of Enid, died Monday, July 2, 2012, at Greenbrier Nursing Home. Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tommy Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery

Willa was born Nov. 21, 1933, in Enid, Okla., The daughter of E.B. Sr. and Pearl (Chatt) Mitchell. She was the youngest of five children. Willa married Henry O. Schneider Jr. June 4, 1955. They spent their early years of marriage traveling with the military, and eventually resided back in Enid

Willa was a teacher and later a principal in the Enid area. After retiring from the school systems, they opened a gift shop in Enid. After the closing of the store Willa was still very involved in the community.

Willa is survived by two sons, Stephen Schneider of Tulsa and Justin Schneider of Enid. She also has four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren
