Susan Elizabeth Sanders
Funeral service for Elizabeth Sanders, 102, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church, with the Rev. Ron Olson officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with the family is 6:30-8 p.m. today, Dec. 12, at the funeral home.
Elizabeth was born to George and Florence (Shepherd) Sanders on July 5, 1912, in Omega, Okla., and passed away Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, in Enid, Okla.
Elizabeth grew up west of Hennessey and attended Mound Ridge School, later graduated from Hennessey High School.
Elizabeth earned a teaching certificate from Oklahoma University.
She taught in rural schools for four years, worked at Enid Paper Co. for 10 years. Elizabeth also worked for Farmers Home Administration in Newkirk and Stillwater, retiring in 1974.
She was a member of Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church and Women's Christian Temperance Union.
Elizabeth is survived by her brother, Stanley Sanders of Edmond, and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jeff; and sister, Evelyn.
