November 1, 1949 - September 23, 2022

Funeral service for Richard Szczepaniak age 72 of Enid, will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 29, 2022 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor's David Reber and Kenneth Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. The family requests casual dress to honor Richard.

Richard was born November 1, 1949, at Dietz, Germany to Edward and Katherine Szczepaniak and passed away Friday, September 23, 2022 in Enid. He graduated from Enid High School class of 1967 and later earned his Bachelor of Business degree from NWOSU in 1972. He married Bonnie James on August 15, 1970 in Enid where they made their home since. Richard worked in the parts department at Zaloudek Marine. Richard was a member of Jaycee's, Compassionate Friends and St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Richard loved his family and he and Bonnie would spend the winters in Texas where they loved sitting on the beach.

Richard is survived by his wife Bonnie, grandson Shawn Kendall, sisters Krystyna Hatfield and Rosy Bramwell, brothers Marion and John Szczepaniak. He was preceded in death by his children, Brad and Angela Szczepaniak.

Memorials may be made through the Anderson Burris to Brad & Angela Szczepaniak Nursing Scholarship at NWOSU, in memory of Richard Szczepaniak.
