Services for Jerry F. Sturgeon will be 2:00 Monday at Ladusau-Evans Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Jerry Furlain Sturgeon
June 26, 1939 - February 24, 2022

A Celebration of Life service for Jerry F. Sturgeon, age 82, of Enid will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with Rev. Alan Seibel officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jerry was born June 29, 1939, in Ames, OK, to Clayton and Esther (Hodge) Sturgeon and passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022, in Greenbrier Skilled Nursing Home.

He attended and graduated from Ames High School. After high school, Jerry entered the U.S. Navy on May 30, 1957, and was honorably discharged on June 28, 1960. He entered the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy in 1965 and served 33 years before retiring.

He married Sally DeBoard on October 21, 1961, at Willow Road Christian Church. Together they had two sons, Rick and Randy. She passed away January 30, 2010. He later married Paula Boatright on January 3, 2013, and she passed away July 27, 2020.

Jerry is survived by his grandson Seth Sturgeon and wife Emily; granddaughter Ericka Nault and husband Landon; son Randy Sturgeon; daughter-in-law Connie Sturgeon-Hart and husband Steve; stepdaughters Shannon Boatright, Shawna Stehr and husband Bill, and Amanda Holt and husband Sheldon; great-grandchildren Jentri and Daxton Sturgeon and Easton Nault; along with numerous other family members.

He was preceded in death by his son Rick Sturgeon on May 29, 2002, sister Sondra Sturgeon, brother Clayton Sturgeon, and great-grandson Dawson Sturgeon.
