October 12, 1933 - September 12, 2024

Funeral services for Ronald Eugene Schulz, age 90, Enid, will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Dwayne Schroeder officiating. Cremation and private burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

Ron was born October 12, 1933, in Breckinridge, Oklahoma to Milbert and Viola (Stettnisch) Schulz, and passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024 in Enid.

He attended Garber Public Schools, graduating in 1951. He married Darlene Mae Unruh on April 12, 1954, and they made their home in Enid, Ok, where they raised their daughter, Cindy Jo Schulz, and son, Mark Allen Schulz. Ron first worked for O.G. & E., and then went to work for Montgomery Wards. He served as manager of the Enid Far-Gas until his retirement to The Commons in Enid with his wife. He served on the Library Advisory Board to build the Enid/Garfield County Library in its present location. He was elected to the North Enid School Board and served during the annexation of Carrier Schools. He joined the North Enid Lions Club in 1966, and served in all District and State local offices. Ron was responsible for the placement of the yellow eyeglass collection boxes in Enid. He served 4 years on the only eye bank in the state and 3 years on the board for the Lions Boys Ranch in Perkins, Oklahoma. He also worked and initiated the funds for the Lions Alert Trailer. He was also a member of the Antique Car Club and the Railroad Museum.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Milbert and Viola Schulz, son Mark Allen Schulz and a grandson, Jason Alan Yunker.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Schulz, of the home in Enid; daughter Cindy Yunker and husband Donald, of the family farm east of Garber, Ok; two grandsons, Jason Alan Yunker and wife Lacie; Brian Austin Yunker and wife Melanie, of Enid; as well as granddaughter, Abby Budd, and husband Brian, of Perry, Oklahoma.

Memorial contributions in Rons name may be made to the North Enid Lions Club or Redeemer Lutheran Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
