A Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia "Pat" Frances Fuxa-Stout, age 73, of Enid will be 10:00 am Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church with Rev. John Herrera officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Pat was born September 29, 1948 in Nacogdoches, TX to John Ed Stone, II and Patricia A. Wood. She passed away in St. Mary's Regional Hospital on Sunday, November 28, 2021. She was raised in Texas, graduating from Permian High School, Odessa, Texas in 1965. She moved to Enid where she began attending Phillips University. She married Robert Fuxa on December 27, 1965 and they had four children, Jane, Bryan, Bradley and Barry. Patricia was a nursery school teacher at Saint Matthews Episcopal church. She was a scout leader for both the Great Salt Plains Counsel BSA and the Cherokee Strip Council GSA, a tutor at Booker T. Washington Community Center, a PTO volunteer in the public schools, and for over 10 years was a Big Blue Band Booster. She received her Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education in 1986 and a Master of Education degree in 1995 from Phillips University. She also furthered her education with doctoral level classes at Oklahoma State University. She later married Floyd Stout on May 22, 1999 in Enid. They lived in Cherokee and moved to Enid in 2006. She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. She taught at Coolidge and later Monroe where she taught first and fifth grades. She was selected for the Enid Public Schools' Library Media Curriculum Award in 1991. She retired in 1999 after 13 years. She loved the Lord, books, teaching, learning, history and children.
Patricia is survived by her husband Floyd of the home, daughter Jane and Randy Johnson, sons; Bryan and Rhonda Fuxa, Bradley and Kristy Fuxa, and Barry and Robin Fuxa, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, step daughter Melanie Stout and step son Gregg and Lisa Stout, brother John E. Stone, III, nieces Angela Doyle and Mellisa Ann Stone.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Alnita Marie Brooks in 2017. Memorials may be made to "Books for Monroe Elementary Library" with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
