The Services Celebrating and Honoring the life of Zaida Ruiz Castillo, 57 years old, of Enid, will be held 1:30 P.M. Thursday August 27, 2020 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Josue Espinal officiating, burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Zaida was born August 6, 1963 to Maximino Ruiz and Gladys Castillo in Sábana Grande, Puerto Rico and passed from this life August 21, 2020 in Enid, Oklahoma.
She was raised and educated in Puerto Rico and moved to New York at the age of fourteen. She returned to Puerto Rico at the age of sixteen and continued high school. She attended Columbian College and studied Nursing she became a private Health Care provider for three to four years. She married Heriberto López González April 6, 1981 they raised her family in Puerto Rico until 2004 when the family moved to Pennsylvania for 3 years and then moved to Enid in December of 2007. She began working at Advance-Pierre; she worked there for eight and a half years. She was a member of the La Peña De Horeb Pentecostal Church where she was the Church Women’s Leader. She was very active in church and loved singing.
She is survived by her husband, of the home, her children, Zenaida Aviles Ruiz, Kengiria López Ruiz, Heriberto López Ruiz, and Roberto López Ruiz; eight grandchildren and her mother Gladys Castillo Rondon and fourteen siblings.
She was preceded in death by her father and three siblings.
