ENID, Okla. - Graveside service for Helen Marie Roush, 89, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, in Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum, with Mr. Marvin D. Palmer officiating. The family will receive friends at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home from 6-7 p.m. today.
Helen was born Oct. 13, 1923, in Nash, Okla., the 12th child of 13 to Philip and Ellen Clover.
She graduated from Gore High School, and met and fell in love with Francis Roush while both were working on a farm in Grant County.
On Sept. 23, 1943, they were married in Medford, Okla. They moved to Enid soon after to make their home and raise their two daughters. She loved caring for her family, her Chihuahuas, crocheting and working puzzles.
She is survived by two daughters, Lydia Kiefer and husband Jerald of Garland, Texas, and Cindy Stephens and husband Wayne of Blackwell, Okla.; four grandchildren, Kurt Kiefer and wife Brenda of Garland, Texas, Kelly McCormac and husband Rodney of Garland, Texas, Karla Culver and husband Tom of Rowlett, Texas, and Christi Stephens of Blackwell, Okla.; and six great-grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her siblings, Orville, Banna, Myrtle, Tula, Philip, Willard, Joyce, Madge, Howard, Anna, Homer and Mona.
Memorial contributions may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, alzheimer division, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
