OBITUARY
A graveside service for Travista “Jerrie” Roach, 77, will be 1 p.m. Monday in Memorial Park Garden Chapel. Rev. Bryan Baldwin will officiate, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
She was born to Mil-ton “Pete” and Donnie (Moore) King on May 8, 1929, in Jake Hamen, Texas and went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 26, 2007, at the Methodist Care Center in Enid.
Jerrie attended schools in Texas and Oklahoma. On September 22, 1945, she married Kenneth B. Roach in Wellington, KS. They made their home in Enid, except for 10 years when they lived in Ponca City. She enjoyed camping, boating and traveling. They were gatekeepers at Lake Texoma after their retirement.
She is survived by three daughters, Shirley and husband, Denny Lane of Claremore, Donna and husband, Curt Courtright of Wichita, KS, and Kennie Roach Nelson of Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren, Cyndi Eagleton of Claremore, Jeff Lane and wife Mary of Jenks, Michael Nelson and Cory Nelson, both of Enid, Jennifer Spruce and husband Eric of Ft. Worth, TX, Toby Nelson of Enid, Ryan Courtright and wife Lindsey of Oklahoma City, Dustin Nelson and wife Laura of Waukomis, Stephanie Slagle Nelson and Makayla Slagle Nelson of Oklahoma City; 16 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ann Minor of Enid.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth; her parents; brother, Sid King; two sisters, Rebecca King and Edna Tunnell; and one great grandson, Ryan Eric Nelson. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love.
