ENID - The funeral for Oscar Edwin Reinhardt, 96, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2010, at Zion Lutheran Church, Fairmont. The Rev. Timothy Dorsch will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Family visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
He was born May 14, 1913, in Creighton, Mo., to Ferdinand and Pauline Keilbarth Reinhardt and died Saturday, April 17, 2010, at The Living Center.
He grew up in Breckinridge and attended Hunter High School.
He married Florence S.C. Gerken May 26, 1935, in Fairmont. They made their home in Douglas and Fairmont before moving to Enid in 1959. She died in 1998.
He was a farmer and carpenter and worked many years for Gold Spot Dairy delivering ice cream and later in the maintenance department. He retired from the maintenance department at Northrop in May 1978. He was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, Fairmont, where he held many offices.
Surviving are three sons, Eldon and Lyle, both of Enid, and Larry of Las Vegas; one daughter, Joyce Nolte of Enid; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren. In addition to his wife, Florence, he was preceded in death by one son, four brothers, one sister, three grandchildren and one stepgranddaughter.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Zion Lutheran Church, Fairmont, The Lutheran Hour or Ross Hospice.
