November 16, 1939 - June 08, 2021

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Dale Vance Ratliff, 81, of Enid, will be held privately in the Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Bill Russell officiating. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Dale was born November 16, 1939, to Ben and Mary “Lois” Ratliff in Childress, Texas and passed from this life June 8, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Dale was born and raised in Texas and graduated from Quail High School in 1958. He married Patsy “Sue” Aaron and from this union came three children, Aaron, Carman, and Shara. He lived in Wellington, TX, Clayton, NM, and Hugoton, KS before making his home in Enid in 1979. He married Jeanette Davis on July 6, 1979, at Liberty Southern Baptist Church, in Enid and raised three daughters, Rhonda, Robyn, and Rachel.

His entire career was in the banking industry and he worked at Central National Bank until his retirement in 2004. He enjoyed gardening, photography, genealogy, lighthouses, camping, hiking, and watching Gunsmoke – repeatedly. He loved time with his Chihuahua, Bo but most importantly, he adored time with his family and his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jeanette, children Aaron Ratliff (Dana), Carman Wilson (Roger), Shara Bane (Andy), Rachel Simpson (Matt), Rhonda Harlow, and Robyn Herbert (Herb), 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many bonus children and grandchildren.

If you are inclined to honor his memory, the family suggests that memorials be given in his honor to the Enid SPCA with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Condolences and special memories may be shared with the family online at www.Brown-Cummings.com
