The funeral for Carl F. Raper, 74, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Carl Roberts will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
He was born Feb. 16, 1934, in Milburn to John Monroe and Artie Frances Johnson Raper and died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at his home in Enid.
He grew up in Blackwell and served with the Army in Vietnam.
He married Charlotte Watts Nov. 18, 1973, in Kremlin. They made their home in Enid. He worked at Hackney, Speed Star and Department of Public Safety as a driver’s license examiner until he retired. He was a member of Harvest Time Worship Center.
Surviving are his wife, Charlotte, of the home; his children, Keith Raper and Bruce Raper, both of Kansas City, Mo., Sherri Jones and Sam Snyder, both of Enid, and Vicki Wynn of Edmond; two sisters, Opal Wood of Enid and Lois Harden of Bakersfield, Calif.; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love or Harvest Time Worship Center.
