Betty J. Ramsey passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017, in Oklahoma City. Betty was 77 years old. She was born Oct. 6, 1929, in Enid to Irene and Lawrence Barnes. She was baptized Sept. 20, 1951. The Funeral Service is 2 p.m. Thursday March 9, 2017, in the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Enid, with the Rev. Ted Kuschel officiating. Burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
She went to school at Lincoln, Emerson, and Enid High School. She married Rex Ramsey Dec. 15, 1950, at Westminster Presbyterian Church. She worked in the family business, Ramsey Termite Control, Enid Tree Specials and Ramsey's What Ever. Betty was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she was a member of Women on Missions.
Betty is survived by daughter Donna Ramsey, sons: Robert and his wife Renee Ramsey and Mike and his wife Debbie Ramsey. She has 18 grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by parents, husband Rex Ramsey, a daughter Katherine Ramsey, and a son Mark Ramsey.
Memorials may be made to Women on Missions, Touch India, with Brown-Cummings serving as custodians of funds.
