Funeral services for Donna Faye Preston, 71, Enid, will be held Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. In Davis Park Christian Church with Pastor Alan Seibel officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.
Donna was born on March 30, 1940 in Enid, the daughter of Theron Eugene and Sadie Izetta Miller Virden, and passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at her residence. She was raised and educated in Enid, graduating from Enid High School with the class of 1958.
Donna married James Olin Preston in Enid on July 19, 1965. Donna worked for Boys Market in the meat department for twenty-six years, later working for Homeland in the Deli department, retiring there after fourteen years.
Donna was a member of Davis Park Christian Church. Survivors include her husband, James of the residence; sons, John Paul Preston of Alexandria, Alabama and William Andrew Preston of Enid; daughters, Kimmie Sue Janes of Enid, Pauline Annette Bahre of Cambdon, South Carolina, and Jana Marie Parks of Enid; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Sue Ellen Phares and Sandra Kay Becker, both of Enid.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents.
Instead of flowers, the family would request memorial donations be made in Donna’s memory to Davis Park Christian Church with the Stittsworth Family coordinating. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
