The funeral for John Francis Pounds, 68, will be 2 p.m. Oct. 1 at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Me-morial Park Cem-etery. Arr-angements are by Henning-er-Allen Funeral Home.

He was born March 10, 1937, in Liberal, Kan., to Don and Clara Pounds and died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005, at his home after battling cancer.

He lived in Enid most of his life, graduating from Enid High School in 1955 and from Oklahoma University in 1960.

He married Barbara in 1964, in Enid, where they lived for 25 years before moving to San Diego.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara; four daughters, Wendy Yanish of Conifer, Colo.; Nikki Pounds of Pacific Palisades, Calif., Amiee and Andrea Pounds of San Diego; and two grandchildren.
