The graveside service for Audie George Pitsiri, 90-year-old Enid resident, will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2019, in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Pastor Kenneth Wade officiating. All friends and family are welcome.
Audie was born August 6, 1928, in Enid to George and Helen (Kanellakos) Hronopulos and died Saturday, April 6, 2019, in St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. She attended local schools and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1946. She attended Phillips University and later Enid Business College. She began working with Champlin Oil for several years and later with Ward Petroleum Company for many years. She also worked at Enid Restaurant Supply for many years.
She worked tirelessly for the Enid Election Board for close to 50 years. She attended Life-Long Learning Institute for many years. She enjoyed attending the Enid Symphony Orchestra and Chautauqua. She loved to travel and play Scrabble and in her younger years ... never missed an opportunity to swim. She also was an accomplished pianist and loved to play.
She was a kind, caring and generous person who will be truly missed.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa Pitsiri of Oklahoma City; her son Andreas Pitsiri and his wife Lori Wheat of Bremerton, Washington; Twin sister Effie Outhier of Enid; brother John Hronopulos and his wife Betty of Edmond, OK; her sister-in-law Patty Nickel; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Tasso; sisters Grace Davis, Martha Johnson and Sodie Swinehart; and brother Pete Hronopulos.
Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home to Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.
